Next I do some trading to to add to my bank account and buy as many upgrades as poss locally. A full load out of Terran Guns is moree than enough to take on enemies. Flying into the war zones means I can collect some loot fast and basically any Terran ship I salvage will have maybe 1 or 2 Shields or guns to add to my starting ship. Starting with a Ketana means I get a good sized hold to collect loot. I have always regarded Terran Commander as my goto start for X3.
